The Boss DR-3 is an affordable compositional tool and flexible jamming partner that boasts some of BOSS’ best drum, percussion and bass sounds. The Boss DR-3 comes complete with new TSC (Total Sound Control) for easy sound editing - plus innovative new Rhythm Progressions featuring multiple variations for creating realistic drum tracks. The Boss DR-3 is the perfect tool for guitarists and songwriters who want to spend less time programming and more time making music. With onboard Rhythm Progressions, it’s easy to create a track by choosing from 100 Preset or 100 User styles. The DR-3’s eight panel buttons can then be used to switch between different sections of a song - Intro, Verse, Fill and Ending - while selecting from three different variations per section. The result is a more natural-sounding drum track that won’t get repetitive. Of course, the DR-3 offers velocity-sensitive pads and realtime/step recording for creating up to 100 User styles. And the sounds are some of the best BOSS has to offer. In total, there are 120 drum and percussion sounds and 12 bass sounds. Tweaking a drum kit is now more intuitive than ever, thanks to BOSS’ new TSC (Total Sound Control) with Sound Shape function. With this feature any drum kit can be customized using 3-band compression, parametric EQ and a unique Ambience effect. The DR-3’s footswitch input is great for jamming, and makes it easy to control functions like Intro/Start, Ending/Stop, Verse change, Variation On/Off, Loop On/Off and more. A choice of AC or battery power allows the DR-3 to be used at home or on the go. The DR-3 provides stereo RCA phone Line outputs, two additional 1/4-inch outputs (one of which can be used as a Headphone output) - plus a Footswitch input,
New Rhythm Progressions for All-Out Jams
If you want to spend less time programming and more time jamming, you’ll love the DR-3’s Rhythm Progressions. Simply choose from 100 Preset styles and use the eight panel buttons to switch between different sections of your song. Up to three variations can be selected for each Intro, Verse, Fill and Ending, so your drum tracks won’t get monotonous.
Easy Sound Shaping and Footswitch Control
BOSS' new TSC (Total Sound Control) lets you change the overall sound of a drum kit with specialized effects. Use the Sound Shape function to adjust the 3-band compression and 3-band parametric EQ, or add some spaciousness with the Ambience effect. An optional footswitch can be used to control anything from Intro/Start and Ending/Stop to Verse change, Variation On/Off, Loop On/Off and more.

A lot of players often need the service of a drummer but cant get one, the next best thing is to use a drum machine. The boss dr3 is a very realistic drum machine and probably the most affordable on the market. It has so many different drum patterns that it is hard to choose which one you want! The drum machine wont be late for gigs or rehearsal either!
