Here's a new Roland Arranger keyboard that is ideal as a first keyboard or could be used as a travel keyboard for budding song writers who get inspired whilst on the move ...
The basic concept of this Interactive Arranger keyboard is that it makes putting together songs a complete doddle by virtue of the range of pre-programmed sounds, rhythms and one-touch buttons that guide the user through the process of completing a composition.
There are lots of options to choose from with 800 sounds and 70 drum kits, the keyboard provides up to 64 note polyphony and there are 47 Multi-Effects plus Reverb and Chorus. Sound comes courtesy of two on-board 7.5 Watt high performance speakers - although there are also two headphone inputs.
Music teachers and students will undoubtedly find the onboard 16-Track Recorder useful when learning how to play a song. The user can record their performance with or without the arranger accompaniment, and students can subsequently refer to the recording as a guide.
Tempo adjustment will help when practicing finger excercises or complex musical parts as sections can be rehearsed at a slower tempo until the student feels confident enough to try in real-time. Likewise, if there's the need to listen or practice the same section a couple of times its just a case of using the marker/repeat function to specify a region to play repeatedly.
This example of the E-09W keyboard is in White but is also available in Black (E-09B)... to view a video demo of this product click here
Reviews
This is one of the few occasions where I've seen such a feature packed keyboard at such a reasonable price, and indeed some of the bells and whistles that appear on the E-09 are normally reserved for much higher end models.
It's also really intuitive to use with user-friendly menu options. and I must admit that the on-board sounds are fantastic. Amongst the 800+ tones, you'll find all the standard GM/GS instruments, as well as many you wouldn't normally expect. Master programmers from around the world have created special styles for the E-09, spotlighting the Western, Middle Eastern, and Asian cultures - something that wouldn't normally be associated with an arranger keyboard...
The E-09 arranger works superbly well on several different levels. It's a fine first keyboard for a beginner, with lots of menu help options. It's also a great tool for song-writers and arrangers, allowing you to audition songs in several different styles until you find one that works for the composition. And finally as a learning tool for Piano teachers and students, it provides the opportunity to practice and then analyse performances via the on-board 16 track recorder.
Best of all, all of these great features come at a very affordable price! Check the Roland E-09 out now at the Nevada Music Warehouse...
