Korg SP250 88-Note Portable Digital Piano Satin Black

The Korg SP250 is the first stage piano in the Korg series to feature the new 'RH3' real hammer technology.  This is Korg's own design of the graded, weighted-key system that allows for an authentic piano feel.  With a full 88 note keyboard and 60 notes of polyphony the Korg SP250 has a great feel and while containing an onboard 2x11 watt speaker system, it manages to weigh in at just under 19 kg/40lb!

The SP 250 has 30 built in sounds, some additional effects such as reverb and chorus, as well as a metronome and transpose functions.  This piano even allows temperament change to recreate the tunings of pieces as they would have been historically played.  All in all, the Korg SP-250 is a lightweight, portable stage piano with some great sounding presets...and its even more affordable coming packaged with a stand and a sustain pedal!   Try it out now at the Nevada Music Warehouse!!

Location: The darkest depths of the Nevada warehouse

The Korg SP250 looks as if it would be a lot heavier but fortunately it maintains its light weight structure to give full marks for portability.  Sound -wise, the piano presets have a a really bright sound which would probably be more suited to jazz/blues or popular music and sound pretty good but even more impressive are some of the other presets such as the organ sounds or the vibraphone presets. 


With a 3 way control on the reverb and chorus effects and the ability mix two sounds together by pressing the sound select buttons at the same time you can begin to hear the true quality and potential of the Korg SP250.  Also with midi inputs/outputs and a stereo output the Korg SP250 is an easy to use, great value stage piano, come and try it out for yourself at the Nevada Music Warehouse!!
