Gibson 2014 Les Paul LPJ - Chocolate Satin
To mark 120 years of Gibson guitar production, Gibson have added several models to their line up for 2014 including the Les Paul influenced LPJ shown here. These guitars should all come with the 120th anniversary marked on the trapezoid fret inlay at the 12th fret and include a premium gig bag to keep it in pristine condition.
The Gibson 2014 LPJ model comes with an array of top quality appointments, starting with a beautifully crafted solid Mahogany body complete with weight relief system for maximum comfort. This is complimented by a Maple top that not only looks beautiful in its 20 sheen ultra smooth satin finish but also offers greater tonal qualities over single-wood guitars.
The Maple neck is shaped to a 50s rounded profile and comes with a Rosewood fretboard complete with 22 frets and trapezoidal fret inlays, with the 120th anniversary signature logo inlaid at the 12th fret whilst the headstock bears the classic Gibson logo.
To give the 2014 Gibson LPJ it’s rich tonal depth, there are dual '61 zebra humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position. The sound of these exceptional pickups can be controlled via their independent tone and volume controls, all of which are Black Max grip speed knobs that are exclusive to the 120th anniversary range.
Other hardware appointments include a Satin chrome tune-o-matic bridge, a 3-way pickup switch and new larger strap pins. The Gibson LPJ 2014 has all the makings of a future classic and, because it's marked with the 120th anniversary logo, will perhaps also make a collectors piece, but not before a lifetimes worth of gigs, where it will impress in playability, tone and looks.
