Privacy Policy

Nevada Music would like to reassure our customers that we take the confidentiality and security of your personal details very seriously. Here's a summary of the data we collect, and how we use it:

Information we collect

In addition to the details you provide voluntarily (e.g. by completing the checkout), we may also collect your IP address to help us with fraud prevention, and data on which browser you use to help us develop our site.

To help us improve our website and show you more interesting content, we may also record details of your behaviour on our site, e.g. which pages you visit and which offers you click on.

All customer records are private, confidential and secure. We will not pass your details onto any third parties, except where absolutely necessary in order to fulfil your order (e.g. providing your delivery address to the couriers).

We do not store any of your card details anywhere on our website's servers or databases, except for the last 4 digits of your card number to help identify your payments.

Security of your data

We use industry standard SSL connections to encrypt all of your personal details (i.e., name, address, card numbers etc), so that they cannot be easily intercepted whilst in transit over the internet.

Passwords are stored using a non-reversible encryption method, meaning that no-one (not even our own staff) has access to your password.

Information that is held on our database is that which is collected at the time of registration and at ordering. All data is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Data is collected so that we may continue to communicate with you information relating to sales and special offers in addition to sending you targeted mailings from Nevada. You can unsubscribe from any email communications instantly using the one-click unsubscribe button at the bottom of our emails, or alternatively you can email us at music@nevada.co.uk or by calling 02392 205100.

If you would like to remove your details from our Online Customer Database, or for any other queries relating to privacy of data held by us, please email: music@nevada.co.uk

Cookies

Cookies are tiny pieces of data that your web browser stores on your hard drive. Most browsers accept cookies. However, if you wish, you can usually set them to refuse cookies. If you set your browser to refuse cookies, you will not be able to submit an order online.

We use 2 cookies at Nevada Music - one is long-term so that we can remember the contents of your basket, and the other is short-term so that we can remember your personal preferences like whether you're logged in, which way you like us to sort products, etc.

These cookies are only used by Nevada Music and are not shared with any third parties.

We also allow Google to use cookies on our site, for the purpose of collecting non-identifying analytical data, such as how many visitors we receive, where they came from, and other aggregate data to help us improve our site. These cookies are used widely throughout the web on a significant percentage of websites.

Access To Children

For their protection, we ask that children do not submit information to us without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Secure Shopping

We use Thawte as our digital certificate provider, protecting our customers with the strongest certificate services available. Your credit card information is encrypted while using the Internet.

Disclosure of Information Policy

We never make your details available to any other company or organisation without your permission.

Third Party Rights

Except for our affiliates, directors, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement. However, this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.

Governing Law

The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.

Entire Agreement

Together with our current website prices, delivery details, contact details and privacy policy, the terms and conditions set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by us. Nothing said by any sales person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by us. Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
