Commonly known as a pick, the humble plectrum is the most important part of a guitarist's accessories. It will enable the player to sound exactly as they want or hope to.

Plectrums come in a wide range of styles, material, colour and thicknesses and most beginners find it hard to choose the right one. The type of pick that you want will depend on your playing skill and the genre of music you are into. Whether you play ballads or death metal there is a plectrum to suit your requirements.

Choosing a Plectrum

We offer a wide variety of picks, but if you are not sure of where to start, go for the middle thickness nylon. As your playing progresses you can start experimenting with varying thickness and materials to see the effect it has on your sound.
