The Ibanez SA260FM has a Mahogany body with a Flamed maple top, the neck is constructed from 3 pieces of Maple and the fret board has been crafted from Rosewood. On this particular left handed model the pick-up configuration consists of a humbucker in the bridge position plus two single coil pick-ups in the middle and neck position ...
The pick-ups are controlled by a 5 position blade type pick-up selector switch whilst there is a single tone and volume control. The rotary volume pot also works as a coil tap switch to split the two single coil humbuckers within the Ibanez True Duo bucker pick-up located at the bridge. Pull the volume pot up to isolate the stacked single coil pick-up within the humbucker and push it down to blend it with the other single coil models in a variety of configurations dependant on the position of the selector switch.
The SA260FM also includes the Ibanez Sat Pro 2 Tremolo System which eliminates unnecessary resonance around the saddles by firmly securing them to the bridge plate. This keeps the saddles very stable even during frequent use which in turn helps to keep tuning stable and accurate, the Sat Pro 2 like the rest of the hardware on this instrument is finished in chrome ...
