The Les Paul Black Beauty is a stunning looking guitar, the sleek black high gloss body is perfectly complemented by the glowing gold hardware and soft edged cream binding. It's also the original 3 pick-up Les Paul model, and uses Epiphone?s own powerful high gain humbuckers.
This instrument has been crafted with care and attention to detail - from the high density Mahogany wood that gives the Les Paul its distinctive sound, to the contoured Mahogany and Alder top that makes it suitably authentic.
As stated in the specifications, the pick-ups, machine heads and tune-o-matic bridge are all gold plated. The controls are Gibson speed knobs ? 2 x volume and 2 x tone along with the pick up selector switch housed on the upper side of the body adjacent to the 22nd fret.

This baby is as authentic as it gets, all parts and materials have been faithfully replicated and the finish is first class. Whilst this could not be regarded as a budget replica guitar, it does cost a hell of a lot less than the Gibson version and it would be true to say that this instrument uses replica Gibson raw materials and high quality components. This is undoubtedly where the additional cost originates and the guitar is easily good enough to hold its own against other leading brands.
Sound wise this guitar really rocks, there’s loads of gain in each of the pick-ups and the middle pick up provides some really creamy tones when cranked up. Alternatively when the sound is cleaned up, the Black Beauty has great natural sustain and the low midrange tones from the combination of the mahogany and the hum-buckers gives a big resonant sound when playing chords.
In short, this is a guitar that looks stunning and sounds exceptional, if you hanker after a Les Paul with that something extra that’s less than half the price of the original …. Look no further than the Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty.
