BC Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird Electric Guitar Trans Black
This striking guitar is the BC Rich Masterpiece Mockingbird presented in Transparent Black with Chrome hardware. The body is crafted from Agathis with an arched Quilted Maple AAA top that provides a very decorative front face to the guitar.
The neck is also Maple with a Rosewood fret board housing 24 jumbo 2.7mm frets and inlaid block Pearloid fret markers. The headstock bears the traditional styling with 3 BC Rich Die-cast tuners on each side and a Transparent Black headstock overlay to match the body.
BDSM Hum-Buckers are the pick-ups provided with the Masterpiece Mockingbird with one located at the neck position and a secondary at the bridge position. The pick-ups are managed via two rotary volume control knobs and a single tone control, selection of each hum-bucker is through the 3 way toggle switch located in-between the control knobs.
Moving on to the bridge hardware, the Mockingbird utilises the popular tune-o-matic style bridge with individual string saddles and string through body configuration. Running around the outer edge of the body is a white binding that is also present around the edge of the headstock.

This is one sexy looking guitar .... The Masterpiece MockingBird has dramatic curves as well as a carved Maple top and is sure to turn heads wherever seen. BC Rich's twin BDSM Hum-Buckers in chrome kick out one hell of a noise with lots of mid range to enable plenty of sustain and resonance ...
The Agathis body has cut-aways at each side providing plenty of access to the upper fret range and the Jumbo 2.7mm frets mean that the neck is ideal for soloing. The Masterpiece Mockingbird has a fixed tune-o-matic bridge providing accurate and stable tuning whilst the fret board is adorned with large Pearl block fret inlays ...
The headstock is of a more traditional style with 3 machine heads on each side and good string spacing.I have to say that this instrument has grown on me whilst it has been in my company for the duration of this review, at first sight I didn't think it would ring my bell ... but having played it for a few hours I have to say that it has dramatically changed my opinion. My advice would therefore be to try this guitar before making judgement ... see it now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
