Marshall VT1 Vibratrem Vibrato Guitar Effects Pedal

The Marshall VT-1 Vibratrem is a tremolo and vibrato effects stomp box which recreates the seriously hip retro sound of the sixties. This robust pedal contains the same classic tremolo effect that first appeared on Marshall amps in the 1960s, but with some modern twists. By using split phase modulation the floor pedal can be linked to two amplifiers for an awesome stereo sound field.

Vibrato & Tremolo Modes

The Marshall VT-1 Vibratrem features two modes; vibrato and tremolo. The tremolo mode actually changes the signal volume, increasing and decreasing at a rate set by the speed control for a more vintage sound. The vibrato mode phase shifts the effected signal with the unaffected signal for a subtle pitch shifting vibrato.

Speed Depth & Shape

The other controls on this great little unit affect the speed, depth and shape of the vibrato allowing you to fully adjust the sound to meet your needs. With the shape control you can state the type of waveform used to create the tremolo/vibrato effect. A triangle wave creates subtle phasing vibrato while the square wave produces a more abrupt change in volume. This is one of the many retro-style pedals that are currently populating the market and has been well designed by those clever chaps at Marshall. It emulates the classic tremolo and vibrato effects that were such a hallmark of the 1960's amplifiers.

 

Marshall have approached the control parameters of this pedal both from a scientific and musical angle and whilst the user is able to determine the type of waveform to shape the vibrato effect it can also be modified by the depth and speed required.
