The JM-4 from Line 6 is the ultimate jamming and practice tool, combining an amp simulator, recording looper and jam along backing tracks all in one stylish box. 

The amp simulator and effects section features an awesome array of tones, ranging from classic and vintage sounds right through to modern high gain and lead tones.  Over 200 artist preset patches are onboard with signature sounds from bands such as Ash, Elbow, INXS, Killswitch Engage, Maroon 5 and Lacuna Coil.  A number of famous tones from classic tracks are included, Jimi Hendrix's "Hey Joe", Dire Straight's "Sultans of Swing" and Metallica's "Enter Sandman" to name but a few.  As well as all the signature tones, the JM4 has over 150 presets to accompany the built-in jam tracks and 36 user patches.  These user patches allow you to create your own tones from the 12 Line 6 amp models (based on famous amps which can't be named on the JM4 for copyright reasons) and an array of effects, echos and reverb. 

Based on the popular Spider Jam amplifier, the JM4 Jam Man features over 100 "Endless Jam" backing tracks and drum grooves.  The jam tracks aren't the dodgy MIDI files that are found on other backing track machines, these quality tracks feature real instruments and have been performed by top Nashville and LA session players.  This means you get the real groove feel that you would if you were playing with real musicians, as opposed to sequenced computer parts.  More than just a cool jamming feature, these backing tracks allow you to experiment with your solos, explore your creativity in writing songs, work on your playing and improvisation technique...and let's not forget the most important thing, have fun!

Finally, as a looper, the JM-4 offers up to 24 minutes of recording time and storage for up to 100 recorded loops.  This allows you to capture a riff, loop it and play over the top of it...and it will allow you to do overdub as many parts as you want until you run out of record time!  All the loop functions are controlled via the easy to use footswitches, allowing you to keep your hands free to play. You can extend the JM4's recording time by adding an optional 2GB SD card which also allows you to transfer your recordings to your computer in .WAV file form. Via the SD card slot, you can also import your own songs into JM4 Looper before transposing, time-stretching or looping them.

Inputs for guitar, XLR mic or line input means you are not just restricted to looping and recording your guitar, whilst stereo jack and headphone outputs means that the Line 6 JM4 is a versatile practice and songwriting tool with no end to it's creative potential. Video Demo Here.
