The Jim Dunlop GCB95 pedal is the Wah that shaped many of the most classic Wah sounds that have graced our radio stations. This Dunlop pedal has been used by some of the biggest names in the guitar world from Hendrix to Satch and Clapton to Hammett and continues to be both great sounding and extremely road worthy and reliable. There have been, and still are many other Wah models available but the Jim Dunlop continues to be a favorite among pro?s and beginners alike.

Simple to use, the original Crybaby has one input marked instrument and one output marked amplifier so it?s easily connected inline with the rest of your effects. Once connected, to activate the Wah simply press the toe down and you will feel a click then the Cry Baby comes to life ...

If you're unfamiliar with Wah pedals then here's the basics of what they do, when your heel is down on the expression pedal then treble frequencies are cut giving you a very warm bass tone, then when your toe is down bass frequencies are cut exposing high end frequencies and a sharp cutting sound, Gradually going from toe to heel therefore produces a Wah sound! Bown Chikka Wown Wown!!

The tone of the Jim Dunlop Crybaby is sharper than others and is accentuated by the top end when the pedal is at the apex of its travel, the Cry Baby is an immensely popular model as it is both affordable and also a classic guitar effect. In later years some of the "Grunge" stars have adopted the Cry baby as their wah pedal of choice and you'll probably find video footage of musicians such as Kirk Hammet and even legendary metal guitarist Dimebag using the Jim Dunlop Cry Baby in a live situation ...

The design of the Cry Baby has changed little over the years and it is generally recognised that the Cry baby was designed correctly right from the off, the instructions for use couldn't be easier - simply press down with your foot to activate the effect and then rock the pedal backwards and forwards with the foot to produce the Wah effect.
