Product Information

Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner Pedal

The Boss TU-2 tuner pedal was by far the most popular stage tuner, found under the feet of millions of guitarists all over the world...and it's replacement - the predictably-named TU-3 - is even better, offering a brighter screen (the TU2 was never very good in direct sunlight) and more accurate tuning increments.

Constructed in the usual bomb-proof Boss manner, the TU-3 is extremely reliable and straightforward, despite being highly accurate and flexible. With several tuning modes, the TU-3 covers all bases. Guitar and Bass modes only recognise notes belonging to the open strings for each instrument, effortlessly eliminating accidental tuning mistakes - and additionally, both have Flat and Double Flat modes for tuning to E Flat and D respectively. Meanwhile, the Chromatic mode allows any imaginable tuning (Drop D, DADGAD, Open G, etc etc etc).

You can leave the TU-3 plugged into your guitar chain, because the footswitch bypasses the pedal and disables the display to save battery power (although you can use a standard 9V power supply instead). Tuning is very fast and clear, with the TU-3 showing the closest note, as well as how flat/sharp you are, on a real-time display.

You can even set the display to a Strobe style mode for even more accurate tuning. Finally, the Boss TU3 can optionally mute output while tuning, depending on which output you use. What more could you want from a tuner?!

As a guitarist or bass player, it's always tempting to add just one more pedal to your pedal board - no matter how many overdrives or delay pedals, there's always one more that you could find a use for!

However, there is one pedal that you absolutely cannot do without if you're playing live - and it's the Boss TU3. Taking over from the TU2, which was surely found on 99% of all pedal boards, the TU3 is simply essential for quick and accurate tuning in any situation. Ask any gigging musician, they'll tell you the same - your Boss tuner pedal is a reliable friend, always there for you between songs (or sometimes during that guitar break if things get really bad!), keeping the world's guitar players in tune and ripping note-perfect riffs, night after night.
