Product Information
Ibanez AEG10ENNT Natural Finish Nylon Strung Electro Classical Guitar
The Ibanez AEG10NE is a classically styled small bodied electro acoustic guitar which utilises nylon strings. The guitar is manufactured using a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, the neck is also mahogany with a Rosewood finger board and the body of the instrument has a single cut-away.
The AEG10NE is specifically designed as a classical electro-acoustic model and therefore the body on this guitar is somewhat shallower than on others. The amplification of this instrument is made easy by the addition of a Fishman Sonicore pick-up that is situated under the bridge saddle. To further enhance the performance Ibanez have included their SST model pre-amp which provides 3 band EQ, a master volume control, the Ibanez ?shape-shifter? parametric control and an on-board tuner.
The head-stock is classically styled and uses gold classical tuning machine heads; the guitar has balanced XLR and quarter inch jack inputs for connecting to an amplifier or PA system. The AEG10NE is available in a natural or tangerine finish with attractive, decorative bindings around the edge of the body and the sound hole.
Reviews
It was a refreshing change to open up the case and view the Ibanez AEG10NE electro-acoustic classical guitar. It was as though the integration of purist luthier craftsmanship and modern electronic technology had come together to produce an instrument that both parties were happy with.
Visually this is a stunning looking instrument; the review model was in the Tangerine finish and looks much more expensive than it actually is. The body is shallow and therefore the acoustic sound of the guitar is quiet by comparison to others and perhaps lacks the full tonal range of dedicated acoustic guitars.
