Fender is a name that is synonimous with guitars and basses, so you'd perhaps be a little surprised to hear about the Fender FB54 5-String Banjo. Although this is Fender's 5-String entry-level Banjo it has features you’d expect to find in a much higher end model.
Perhaps one of the main reasons why banjos are now resurgent is due to the huge resurgence in bluegrass over the past decade, or perhaps simply because musicians are realising that there’s a uniquely American sound to the genre.
Although the FB54 sits at the entry-level point, it has been beautifully constructed with some admirable features such as the Mahogany resonator and neck, this particular model has a 27.4 inch scale whilst it also boasts an Aluminum rim, Rosewood fretboard with pearloid inlay and chrome-covered machine heads..
