The Fender FB300 Banjo package is a great fun way to introduce you to the good ole sound of the Wild West.
This 22 fret 5 string banjo has a chromed steel rim with 18 piece bracket top. Made in China, the back and side are laminate mahogany, it has a nato neck with a rosewood fingerboard and maple and rosewood bridge. The overall appearance and feel is very much traditional as the gloss finish shows off the wood grain and sunburst neck beautifully. It has banjo strap anchors and thumb screws to remove the back panel for adjustment to the skin tension or neck adjustment.
Other points of interest include a genuine fitted Remo banjo head, white dot inlays, a chromed arm rest and tailpiece and white tipped machine heads. The package includes a Fender gig bag, spare strings, a tuner, finger and thumb picks, and a beginners Banjo book.

If you’ve never played but always fancied trying something new and fun then the banjo may be for you. I was soon strumming chords and couldn’t resist trying some fast rolling finger work, although it sounded more like I’d dropped it down the stairs which some of my colleagues suggested may be a good thing. That said, everything feels well made and the sound is spot on. All I need now is a pickup truck and to propose to my cousin, marvellous. Joke : Why are banjos better than guitars? ………..They burn longer!
