Marshall MS4 Microstack Amp

For anyone who is a lover of the Marshall full stack, there is the Marshall MS-4, a full stack but in miniature form, standing at a mere 25cm tall, 11cm wide and 6cm deep. The Marshall MS-4 is the epitomy of portable micro amps, and because it can be operated with batteries you can play this amp wherever you like.

This mighty micro Marshall stack has switchable Clean and Overdrive modes so that you can get all the crispness of the clean sound and all the dirtiness of the overdrive. It also has a single gain control so you can have as little or as much gain as you want. A single Tone control provides a range of bass to treble.

I must admit that at first I thought the Marshall MS4 Microstack was a bit of a gimmick - one of those boys toys that you'd place on your desk to look macho and impress the rest of the lads in the office ... But actually, once I took the time to plug the MS-2 in and play around with it for a few hours I have to say that this is no toy ...

 

It's a given that this tiny amp will never replicate the sounds from a 50 watt Marshall, but taking into consideration its size and stature it gives a pretty good performance and is easily transportable - so you can take the Marshall MS4 Microstack with you on those uncomfortable weekends where you stay with the wife's/ girlfriend's parents. Clip on the headphones, plug-in your guitar and lose yourself in the back room ...

 

The Marshall MS4 Microstack is a fantastic micro amp which, for its size is very loud indeed! Thanks to the choice of battery or (optional) mains power you can take it with you on your travels. Overall the Marshall MS-4 Microstack is a must for musicians who want a highly portable amplifier for their electric guitar without having to compromise on tone ....
