The speakers within the Marshall 1960B cabinet are the industry standard Celestion G12T-75 models, which are versatile enough to cover most styles of music from rock to blues to metal. For the vintage cab enthusiasts, Marshall also make the 1960AV loaded with G12 vintage 70 watt speakers and the Greenback loaded 1960AC G12M 25 watt versions. The Marshall 1960B 4 x 12 speaker cab has side handles for easy shifting about, and will fit in most cars when turned on its back!
The Marshall 1960B 4 x 12 is the full size cab, so a bit bigger than the MG/AVT cabs and is designed for the new valve heads such as JVM, DSL , TSL or any of the previous classic valve heads. The rear input panel has mono jack inputs at both 4 and 16 ohms for compatibility with most amps, or two 8 ohm inputs for stereo use. Before this traditional cabs such as the Marshall 1960B 4 x 12 would have to be lifted on to a motley collection of beer crates or tables to extend the sound penetration ... But there's no denying that the Marshall 4 x 12 speaker cab plays an important part in attaining that classic Marshall sound ...
