Squier SA-105 Acoustic Guitar Black

Squier - for those of you that don't know - are the sister company to Fender and by enlarge they produce affordable entry level copies of some of the higher end Fender models. Because of this they tend to be favoured by starters, novices and those who are on a restricted budget, however make no bones about it Squier is definitely not a cheap and cheerful brand, their guitars and basses are extremely well made and offer outstanding value for money ...

One of the affordable entry-level acoustic models is the Squier SA-105 shown here in an attractive Black Gloss finish but also available in a Sunburst and Natural Wood finish, the body is based around the Dreadnought shape and uses Laminated Spruce for the top whilst the sides and rear are made from Laminated Nato wood. The neck also uses Nato and has a Rosewood fretboard sporting inlaid dot position markers for fret orientation, the bridge like the fretboard uses Rosewood and has 6 nylon bridge pins that hold the strings firmly in place along with a compensated saddle for ease of playing ...

The cosmetics of the instrument include the Black Gloss finish, binding around the edge of the instrument body and a decorative sound hole rosette, the headstock has a black gloss overlay and 6 high quality chrome machine heads. All in all this is a great starter guitar for a novice, the quality of the build, raw materials and the sonic performance all suggest that this guitar is far more expensive than it actually is ...
