Product Information

The 6-string Martin DX1AE electro-acoustic guitar features a D-14 platform, and a Dreadnought body design that produces a big, resonant sound. Pairing the Sitka Spruce top with the Mahogany-pattern HPL back and sides, the Martin DX1AE provides killer tone, clarity and plenty of projection. The guitar's stratabond neck is a multi-layered wood creation, bonding layers of wood under extremely high pressure. The material is then carved and finished in a conventional manner. The end result is a very strong neck that provides definition and articulate sustain from note to note and the modified low oval neck shape, 25.4" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, and 16" radius provide comfort and dexterity when performing intricate movements and progressions along the black Richlite fretboard.

The Martin DX1AE guitar features proven Sonicore pick-up technology with the Fishman Sonitone system featuring "easy access" volume and tone controls conveniently and strategically located just inside the sound hole. Dressed in a Satin finish and featuring chrome machine heads and chrome hardware, this electro acoustic guitar has the look and sound of a highly collectable Martin instrument, but goes for a price that almost anyone can afford.
