The TCY10E is the new version of our old favourite the TCY10, it now features the The Ibanez AEQ200T, which has 2-band tone control with onboard tuner, is optimized for use with Ibanez Under Saddle Pickups. 7 segment LED display enables you to tune, wherever and whenever

The Ibanez TCY10E is a small body acoustic-electric guitar with a double cutaway which makes it ideal for the electric guitar player. This series of guitar was specifically designed for the electric guitar player who wants an acoustic sound without the bulkiness of a dreadnaught body.

Features

This Double Cutaway electro acoustic features Mahogany Body and Sides and a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It is fitted with a Piezo transducer pickup with 2 band EQ preamp. Chrome Die-cast machine heads ensure stable tuning and the high gloss finished Spruce top gives this guitar a stylish look.

I once heard the Ibanez TCY10E described as a "Girl's acoustic" but I have to say that I can't agree with that statement. I assume the person who made this comment was referring to the fact that the Ibanez TYC10E electro-acoustic has a smaller bodied design which makes the instrument slimmer, lighter and therefore more comfortable and manageable than some of the huge, bulky jumbo sized models ....

 

Personally I really like the fact that this electro-acoustic tries to offer something different, the body shape and the neck remind me of an electric guitar and because of that this electro-acoustic may be favoured by electric guitar players. Ok, acoustically the slim body may not offer as much volume as a Dreadnought model but the under saddle pick-ups and AEQ200T  Pre-amp help to shape the tone of this instrument so that it offers a realistic acoustic emulation in a live environment.

 

Ibanez are predominantly known for their electric guitars, but the TCY10E electro-acoustic models have proved to be enormously popular - in my opinion due to a combination of looking/feeling like an electric guitar and also due to the smaller, slimmer body....They sound pretty good too, so if you're looking for an electro-acoustic that's just a little bit different to what the rest of the market is offering, put the Ibanez TCY10E on your "must try" list - available now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
