Product Information

Ibanez EW2012ASE-NT, Natural 12 string Electro-Acoustic

Here's another stunning instrument from the Ibanez Exotic Wood series - this time a 12 string electro-acoustic - the Ibanez EW2012ASE in a Natural figured Ash finish. The standard Exotic Wood body is immediately recognisable by the single Vienese cut-away at the right hand shoulder of the guitar, the top sides and rear all us figured Ash to provide a staggeringly attractive electro-acoustic ...

The neck is Mahogany with a Rosewood fret board that has a decorative motif at the 12th fret, the 12 string elongated headstock like the body is covered in a natural Ash finish and has chrome Ibanez "Smooth Tuner" machine heads. Sound comes courtesy of the on-board B-Band UST pick-up and Ibanez SRTn Pre-amp. The output to an amplified source has both quarter inch jack and XLR balanced interfaces for easy connection to a stage box or mixing desk, and these are located at the bottom end of the instrument by the side of the battery compartment for the active electronics ...

The B-Band pre-amp also contains a notch filter and tuner - the notch filter helps to fine tune frequencies to avoid feedback at high volume whilst the tuner is a handy and practical inclusion for a 12 string guitar. The bridge is made from Rosewood and uses bridge pins for string retention, the cosmetics of the instrument are concluded with cream body binding and an attractive Abalone Rosette encircling the sound hole ...
