The Epiphone EJ-200 acoustic guitar is Epiphone's version of the Gibson classic J-200, the guitar you've seen in the hands of everyone from Elvis to Emmylou Harris. The Big jumbo Maple body has a select Spruce top, the instantly recognisable Moustache bridge, gold hardware, and crown inlays on the fingerboard.
Although the Epiphone EJ-200 acoustic may not have the subtle elegance of its Gibson couterpart, it is still undoubtedly a beautiful instrument with floral detailing on the scratch plate. The jumbo body provides a loud, bold sound that's nicely balanced by the clever use of Spruce and Maple to give a bright tone but with plenty of depth.
This classic Epiphone EJ-200 design has been used by countless famous musicians and singers over the last 30 years and is still as popular as ever now. Now then ... The Epiphone EJ-200 is for me personally a proper acoustic guitar ... By that I mean it has great looks, a great sound and you'll want to play this lovely instrument until long after the sun has gone down ... It's no surprise that many celebrated recording artists have been pictured with an EJ-200 slung around their necks ...
For me this is one of the great acoustic guitar designs, the Gibson designers got this one absolutely right and Epiphone have taken great care to exactly emulate the design and cosmetics of this stunning acoustic guitar. So exactly why is this model so great ...? Well, it's generally agreed that some acoustic models are perfect for rhythmical strumming whilst others are perfectly formed for the nuances of finger picking or finger-style playing ... But for me the Epiphone EJ-200 has both bases covered ...
If you want to slam out big resonant open chords on the EJ-200 it will pound out lush rhythmical tones that will fill the air with resonating acoustic harmony, but .... and here's the thing ... If you wanna get soft and silky with delicate, atmospheric finger picking then the Epiphone EJ-200 will gladly comply with that genre of playing as well ... As you may have guessed, I'm a big fan of this guitar - but don't take my word for it, try this model now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
