The ultimate addition to the ultimate electronic drum kit!  Anyone who's played (or is lucky enough to own!) a Roland TD-20 drum kit knows what an awesome bit of kit it is...but with the TDW-20 expansion it gets even more awesome.  You get 50 new preset patches, made up from over 300 brand new, fuly editable drum sounds.  These upgraded samples offer enhanced expressiveness and added punch, along with richer ambience effects. 

The user interface has also been improved allowing for quicker and more flexible drum customisation.  In the TDW-20, Roland have improved the virtual editing options.  There are now enhanced snare buzz parameters and a snare tambourine, new virtual mic options for the kick drum and the overall kit resonance has been vastly improved.  

Installing the TDW-20 is a doddle and it comes with full instructions.  So if you've bought or are planning on buying a TD-20, you really should consider adding this expansion card...the best just got better!

I must say when I first stepped on the TD20 I was extremely impressed with the playability of the kit, but the sounds were exactly the same as the TD12, which came as a bit of a disappointment. It’s not that the sounds were bad, I just thought Roland could have added a few more considering this is their flagship kit.  When I heard rumours of the TDW20 expansion card, I must admit I did get a little excited...

This expansion runs off a totally new platform, the expression has been upgraded for a better dynamics etc, you can add percussion accessories to drums…but the main difference is the quality of the sounds.  I have never heard such realistic drums samples from Roland or any other company, they truly are amazing.  This is a more than worthy upgrade to the TD20 kit... but don’t just take my word for it, check the TDW20 out yourself at the Nevada Music Warehouse.
