The Roland TD-9K2 benefits from a newly re-designed kick pad along with the addition of the new V-Cymbals and then of course there's the additional and upgraded sounds within the TD-9K2's sound module. not forgetting that the sound module also contains a diverse range of backing tracks that the user can play along to rehearse different drumming and rhythm styles ..
The USB port on the top side of the module also means that WAV and MP3 files can be imported into the TD9K2's memory so you get to play along with your favourite tracks ... As far as the actual hardware is concerned there are PDX-6 and PDX-8 mesh snare and tom heads plus the CY12C and CY13R new V-Cymbals plus the KD-9 cloth head kick pad and expressive hi-hat CY-5 and FD-8 combination ...All of which means an even better playing experience, upgraded sounds and improved features from the Roland TD-9K2

As always with Roland, the build quality and playability of this kit are second to none. The major upgrade with the TD-9 from the previous model (the TD-6) is in the sound module. The acoustic sounds have been vastly improved and the addition of "real" backing tracks add a completely new dimension to practising. The larger, backlit screen and easy to use operating system mean put this kit in a league of it's own...by far the best electronic kit you can buy for this kind of money.
