Zoom G2.1NU Guitar Multi Effects Pedal
The Zoom G2.1NU is a multi-effects unit which is both affordable and easy to use. This device is ideal for beginners or anybody new to the world of multi-effects. The unit features 100 preset factory (20 programmed by Steve Vai!) settings which allow you to simply plug in and play! Not only featuring guitar effects, the G2.1U also houses a rhythm machine; perfect for jamming along at the press of a button.
Personalised Sounds & Settings
Other features include a built-in tuner and an expression pedal which can be assigned to a number of settings, including a ?wah wah? pedal and volume control. Every one of the 83 different effect types can be edited through the easy to use dials, allowing you to customise the already set patches and create your own sounds. You can use up to nine different effects simultaneously as well as a selection of amp models. The Zoom 2.1NU allows you to save up to 100 of your own personalised sounds and settings.
USB Capability
The most striking feature of the Zoom 2.1NU is the USB connection capability. This allows you to link the pedal to your PC and use the effects in conjunction with a sequencer program such as Cubase (free copy supplied with unit), which makes it ideal for home recording. Also featured is a headphone port for quiet practising and late night rocking.

The Zoom 2.1Nu is a really cool little effects unit absolutely brimming with features ideal for the home studio, home practice or live work. The effects are suitably impressive and its so easy to use, which makes it ideal for those who are new to multi-effects as well as accomplished musicians. As a company Zoom are perhaps unique in that they actually manufacture their own processor chip sets which in many situations puts them ahead of their competitors and their company motto is "Catch us if you can ..."
If truth be known then it was actually Zoom who put guitar multi-effects pedals within the affordable realms of the average musician, before they came along there were multi-effects available but these were targeted towards the established player and were perhaps out of reach of the student or novice due to price. Zoom broke down those barriers thanks to the ability they had to manufacture their own critical components and have now produced fantastic value effects units such as the Zoom2.1Nu...
Ok, there are bigger and better multi effects units around such as the Boss ME-25, but you can't argie with the fact that Zoom is such good value and a great choice for those on a restricted budget or for novices who don't want to initially invest too much money. The quality of the effects on the Zoom 2.1Nu are staggeringly good for the price and will give beginners hours of fun just trying all the different effects.
