The DTX500K Electronic Drum Kit from Yamaha has had major feature updates to provide an even more realistic drumming experience. The DTX500K uses a DTX-PAD for the snare to give you an authentic stick response and the ability to play open/closed rim shots.

The DTX500K features a hi-hat system that uses a remote hi-hat pedal controller (included with the kit) and trigger pad to provide realistic hi-hat expression. The pedal and pad can be located anywhere around the kit, much like the popular remote cable hi-hat systems for acoustic drums. Moreover, the hi-hat can express various styles of play such as open/close position, closed pedal and foot splash. You can even play tip and edge voices for adding subtle nuances to the beat ...

The DTX500 Drum Trigger Module completes the feature range of this amazingly realistic kit whilst Yamaha's high quality tone generator provides realistic acoustic drums, with details like velocity-switching samples (that switches between a range of samples as you play harder or softer). The DTX500 gives you 50 preset kits from a wide range of music styles. Select your favourite sounds and create custom user kits. Add digital reverb effects and master EQ to sweeten your sound. The DTX500 Module used digital sound technology derived from the MOTIF ES synthesizer.

Unlike some other electronic drum kits, the DTX500K even comes supplied with a Yamaha bass drum pedal! The DTX500K can easily be expanded by up to four additional pads if you need more toms, cymbals, or a double-bass configuration.
