The Traben NEO 4 string Limited Edition bass guitar in Spalted Zebra wood is the perfect example of the culmination of their efforts, the body uses Basswood at the core with a Spalted Zebrawood top piece. The 34" scale neck is crafted from Maple with a Rosewood fretboard that uses 24 frets with inlaid dot position markers.
Sound comes courtesy of two soap-bar style Traben SB combo pick-ups located at a mid-body and bridge positions and these are linked to the Traben T3 active pre-amp. The NEO 4 String Ltd controls the sound using a combination of 3 rotary controls for EQ (Bass, Mid and Treble) plus a further two rotary pots for volume and "blend" control. This fine instrument also features the popular Traben "bigger bridge" that enhances depth and sustain and like the rest of the hardware is finished in Chrome ...

Traben basses have a little of everything to suit all playing styles and musical genres ... The contemporary look of this guitar will appeal to young and trendy types whilst the natural wood finish may appeal to the traditionalists amongst you.
This bass has a longer scale neck with access to all of the 24 frets should you need them but despite this it still balances well against the body when used with a strap, there's also a good range of tonal options thanks to the active pre-amp and seperate tone and blend controls ...
The natural focus of the sound lies around the low and lower mid frequencies and perhaps the combination of Zebrawood and Basswood add a further sonic dimension as the sound of this bass instrument differs subtly from the run of the mill standard bass tones.
