Product Information

Takamine EF360GF Glen Frey Signature Electro Acoustic Guitar

As a member of the country rock band The Eagles, Glen Frey has been responsible for composing and singing some of the most beautiful acoustic ballads of the last 40 years. Classic tracks such as "Peaceful Easy Feelin'" and "Tequila Sunrise" carved his name in rock history whilst the song "Lyin' Eyes" has become part of rock folklore.

To honour his musical achievements, Takamine now present the Glen Frey Signature Model Electro-Acoustic, which uses a Dreadnought style body that has been crafted from a solid Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides. The 20 fret Mahogany neck has a Rosewood fret board with Mother of Pearl dot inlaid fret markers, the bridge is also made from Rosewood using a compensated saddle and nylon "black dot" bridge pins for string retention ...

The Takamine EF360GF has an on-board CT4B pre-amplifier which has an in-built tuner, 3 band graphic and volume slider and also houses the 9v battery that activates the electronic circuitry. Cosmetically this instrument has white binding around the edge of the body, a rosette encircling the sound hole and a black nylon scratch plate adjacent to the sound hole, this instrument also comes with an accompanying hard case.

Takamines EF360S has been around for a considerable amount of time but people really started to sit up and take notice when this model was seen in the hands of Mr Glen Frey. With Glen’s input this signature model was fashioned from the stock instrument...

It’s never easy to quantify the sound of an acoustic guitar; we all have slightly different views which are partly why I guess so many dreadnaught variations exist. Fortunately on this occasion you can hear the sounds this guitar is capable of by listening to the Eagles perform. My take is somewhat overshadowed due to the aforementioned but I have to say it’s easy to understand why GF chose this guitar.

If you just want to sit around the house and strum the Takamine Glen Frey EF360GF is a great sounding guitar but fed through a good acoustic amplifier this Dreadnaught excels, with tone and performance up there (unsurprisingly) at pro level. Let’s face it if you play in one of the biggest name bands on the planet you can afford the best. For Glen Frey that’s the Takamine EF360GF. Nuff said! Check out this amazing instrument now at the Nevada Music Warehouse...
