Here we have the proverbial hen's teeth - something so rare and beautiful that it's been know to reduce hairy backed bass players to gibbering emotional wrecks - a very limited and rare re-release of the original Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar! This product has long since been dis-continued, and original models (if you're lucky enough to find them) now exchange hands for a huge amount of beer tokens.

This is the definitive re-issue of the instrument that changed the sound (and look) of the Bass Guitar forever. This instrument meticulously recreates the greatest ancestor of the industry standard bass guitar. It is authentic in every detail, even to the 'horseshoe' bass pickup of 1931. The Rickenbacker 4001C64 has a fully laminated neck with a striped headstock that runs the full length of the body for unparalleled tone and sustain. The only concession to modern technology has been a redesigned dual truss rod system permitting round wound strings as standard.

Many giants of the music industry have cradled the Rickenbacker 4001 on stage and used them in the studio - Listen to Sgt Pepper and you'll hear the Ricky 4001... And who can forget Macca  (Sir Paul McCartney to you and I) playing one on the live album "Wings Over America" in the mid 70's... But there's also Chris Squire from Yes, Bruce Foxton from The Jam in the 1980's and many others... This is an extremely rare chance to get your hands on an iconic bass instrument and Nevada Music Have just one Rickenbacker 4001 C64 available... Form an orderly queue please...
