Product Information
Rickenbacker 330 JG Electric Guitar JetGlow
This brand of guitars was immortalised in the 1960's as the instrument of choice of the Beatles, The Byrds, The Who and hosts of other famous names from back then ... The jingle jangle sound of Rickenbacker guitars has almost become synonimous with that era and this 330 model is re-released to commemorate those heady days ...
Its unique hollow-bodied construction, slim neck, and all-around contoured body make the Rickenbacker 330 Electric Guitar so very comfortable and easy to play that it has remained one of the great guitars for decades. Its body is carved from a single piece of Maple and precision-fitted with a solid back. The Maple and Rosewood neck features dual truss rods and a Rosewood fret board with dot markers.
The two single-coil pick-ups deliver a range of resonant tones from bright, clear top-end twang, all the way to saturated overdrive once the source is over-driven.This range of guitars can truly be called iconic and will long be remembered as the sound of that era by generations ...
Reviews
Rickenbacker guitars have re-invented themselves with each new generation of guitar players, they were the jingle-jangle Beatle-esque sound of the 60's, the driving, crashing high-energy rhythms of the 70's & 80's (as used by The JAM) and the melodic pop riffs of the 90's thanks to Johnny Marr & The Smiths ....
Each new wave of music incorporates the bright Rickenbacker rhythm sound and thereby presents itself as something new for the current generation. The 330 is a simple yet classic design with a short-ish scale neck and the high frequency enhanced single coil pick-ups.
Whenever, I play a Rickenbacker it somehow brings out the melodic influence within me and I immediately start to play jingle-jangle chord sequences, the 330 JG is no different in this respect and I enjoyed the few hours spent in its company. It has a slim, narrow neck and therefore may not suit chubby fingers but the sound is still ... oh so sweet .... see it now at Nevada Music ...
