New from Line 6 is the M13 Stompbox Modeler. Essentially this is an all-in-one pedal board?but it?s no way your conventional multi effects pedal. The M13 features a comprehensive collection of the most sought-after stompbox sounds, a full-featured looper and high quality all-metal construction. Forget about complicated menus or presets, the M13 Stompbox Modeler is aimed at the guitarist who prefers single pedals to a complex multi effects processor.

The M13 features over 75 classic stompbox effects including distortions, reverbs, delays, modulations, tuner and much more. You can use up to four different sounds/virtual stompboxes at once. Each stompbox model features dedicated knobs for instant and easy tweaking, just like having single pedals.

A simple to use, 28-second looper is also included. Just stomp on the dedicated footswitches for Play/Stop, Half-Speed, Reverse and undo functions.

The M13 even allows you to create different pedal board setups, or ?scenes?, for instant recall of an entire gig?s worth of songs stompbox sounds. You can save up to 12 pedal configurations and even back them up to your computer using the MIDI in/out. The heavy duty construction of the M13?s metal footswitches can withstand constant stomping and is sure to stand up to life on the road.

I'll be honest, i've never been one to rave on about multi effects pedals, they always seem a little too complicated for me with their complex menus and editing.  The Line 6 M13 comes along as a complete breath of fresh air.  To put it simply, it contains over 75 of your favorite old pedals (Big muff, Tubescreamer, Uni-Vibe, Q-tron...the list goes on) and allows you to choose 4 of them to use at a time.  The sound quality and emulation is unbelievably accurate and it's so easy to use, I didn't even have to get the manual out!  The M13 is a really versatile and simple unit, it offers all the sounds you could ever need but doesn't get in the way of the important thing...playing!
