The Epiphone Casino depicted here is a historical collection model inspired by John Lennon's 1965 Casino electric guitar that he used on most of the Beatles recording sessions until "The White Album" and Let It Be sessions. It has all the classic Casino appointments and hardware including a double-cutaway hollowbody, Tribute P-90 pickups, parallelogram fingerboard inlays, vintage machine heads with small buttons, and a trapeze tailpiece.
The Casino helped to give The Beatles their "electric" sound that dominated the mid-1960's, a left hand version was purchased by Paul McCartney and Harrison and Lennon were so impressed by the sound that they too each bought one. Classic Casino sounds can be heard on tracks such as "Taxman" and "And your bird can sing ..." both from the Revolver album.
The "Inspired by ..." Epiphone Casino has a 5-ply Maple/Birch body with a 5-ply Maple top and set slim tapered Mahogany neck, the fretboard is Rosewood with 22 medium jumbo frets and inlaid parallelogram pearloid inlays. The pick-ups are 2 x Gibson USA Tribute P90 single coil models and are each managed by a volume and tone control along with a 3 way toggle pick-up selector switch, the Casino also has a Lock-Tone tune-o-matic bridge with a Trapeze tailpiece and all hardware is finished in Nickel. This instrument also comes with a hardshell case included in the price ...
