You can minimise the pre-recorded vocals or guitar parts with the Center Cancel feature for minus-one play, and record and save your jams. Boss - as a company - seem to excel at integrating certain product features together in one neat package to provide a seamless solution for a string of otherwise troublesome requirements. For many years I have had the laborious task of setting up and breaking down my live guitar rig both for use at home and at gigs, at one point I even tried to have a seperate home-based rig but could never get it to sound like my live rig and so had to continue to set up and then break it down my live guitar rig ....
That is until the Roland JS-8 came along - what a brilliant idea ...!!! An audio player that contains some high quality backing tracks that you can plug-into and play along with. Not only that but you can use some of the Roland/Boss COSM guitar effects AND you have the ability to alter the speed and the keys of the backing tracks for rehearsing particularly difficult or intricate parts ....
The Roland JS-8 solves what was a nagging problem for me, I no longer need to set-up my live rig at home, I can just take my guitar and plug-into the JS-8, switch on and Bob's y' dog ... Did I also mention that this machine provides hours of fun and practice ... ? You can also import MP3 (or similar) files into the JS-8 and if you're a covers band you can then use it to rehearse your live set ... Brilliant , I'm off to Nevada Music to buy one ....
