Ashdown have crept up on us from almost nowhere to establish themselves as one of the major players in the bass amplification market, the model depicted here - the 550 touring combo uses traditional valve technology to blend warmth with ultimate bass tone and the flexibility to create a whole host of bass sounds that cross a wide genre of musical styles ...
The 550 Touring features High and Low gain inputs, front panel-mounted Effects Send and Return, retro-style rotary Bass, Middle and Treble controls with Mid Shift, Bass Shift and Bright switching. There's also a Mute switch, rotary Gain and Master volume controls along with a balanced DI output with Pre/Post switching.
The cabinet contains 2 x 300 watt 10 inch bass drivers and is sturdily built with plastic corner protectors, carrying handles on each side of the chassis and 4 rubber feet on the base of the unit, the parameter titling is in red and the black speaker grille hosts the Ashdown logo which is located in the centre top position ...
