Yamaha DD65 Digital Drums

The Yamaha DD65 digital drums is the perfect compact all-in-one combination for the prospective drummer. In its trendy design the DD-65 offers eight touch sensitive drum pads and two foot pedals that allows expressive playing. To play to your favourite music you can connect a MP3- or CD-Player to the AUX-IN-connector.

Further DD-65 has got an internal flash ROM memory that offers the possibility to save your own performances and to store MIDI-songs. Via USB-MIDI-Interface (Yamaha UX-16; optional) you can load song data into the instrument.

With its 254 voices and 25 phrases DD-65 offers a wide range of percussion-sound from the whole world.

This product is enormous fun to use ...!! The pads take up a tiny amount of room and most budding teenage drummers would be able to find room within their bedroom or the family garage to use this kit.

The pads are very responsive and react just like real drums, and the fact that they are perhaps smaller than a real drum is not that much of a disadvantage - in fact it encourages accuracy when striking the drum pad. The drum samples are stunning Digital CD quality samples and there's a whole wealth of them aboard the DD65.

A great facility is the internal backing tracks that allow you to either mute the music track to allow you to study the rhythm patterns, or alternatively mute the drum track to play along with the music. There's also the hand percussion samples that allows you to develop percussive skills and of course there's a headphone input for near silent practice that won't disturb anybody else in the household.

So Mums & Dads, if you have a son or daughter who are enthusiastic about wanting to learn the drums but you're unsure if it will be a long term commitment, here's the perefect taster product that doesn't cost the earth and will give them an idea of what skill sets and disciplines are required to become a world class drummer.
