In 1974 Bob Taylor bought the American Dream guitar manufacturing shop from the then owner Sam Radding. The name was eventually changed to Taylor as a more suitable choice and because it would fit onto the guitar headstock. Their factory is located in El Cajon, California with worldwide distribution. Their latest model - the T5 (Thinline Fiveway) is at the cutting edge of electro-acoustic technology. 'Fiveway' refers to the different tones available via a five-way switch which range from jangling acoustic to raw electric. Furthermore, it is available in five different configurations.
