Jackson Guitars was started by Grover Jackson and Wayne Charvel and is best known for the Rhoads V model designed and used buy Randy Rhoads. Jackson guitars are known for their pointed roughly triangular headstocks and the reverse pointy headstocks. They achieved legendary popularity with the extreme metal guitarists of the 80s and 90s. In 2002, the company became part of the Fender organisation and the now Jackson and Charvel guitars are made at the Fender factory in Corona, California.
