Ashdown came to the market in 1997 when its founder Mark Gooday left the ailing Trace Elliot company. They are well known for their ranges of bass amplification, but also now produce guitar and bass amplifiers. Their range is wide and goes from the budget Perfect 10 to hand wired boutique amplifiers much loved by high profile players. If you look at artists who use Ashdown amps it's like reading a who's who of the music industry. The most popular amp from Ashdown is the Electric Blue series - a firm favourite with the developing bass player.
