The Boss ME50B is a multi effects unit for Bass guitar. Constructed with the ruggedness and simplicity of a stomp box this unit is great for both recording and live purposes. The ME50B also features built in tuner, Compressor/Limiter and master EQ controls with low, mid, high and mid frequency controls.

Stomp box

The ME50B is split into four sections which are Filter/Tone, Drive/Synth, Delay/Modulation and Expression Pedal. The first section Filter/Tone contains 11 fully editable effects such as Defretter, Bottom Boost and Enhancer. Next you have he Drive/synth section which gives you different drive effects such as Bass Driver and Hi-Band Drive, and four synth settings saw lead, mild filter, Deep Filter and Square. The next section is Modulation/Delay with holds choruses, phasers, flangers, Delays and reverb. Lastly the expression pedal is assignable to different expression settings such as wah or pitch shifter.

Compressor/Limiter

The ME50B also features built in Compressor/Limiter with six settings to choose from. The settings are as follows Off, Natural, Limiter, 160D Soft, 160D Hard and D-Comp. each one of these settings can be edited using the threshold/sustain dial and the Effects level dial. The unit also features a built in chromatic tuner with LCD and LED display.

Bass players never seem to get the variety of pedals and effects that are available for the guitarist. Dont worry though the guys at Boss have thought about you and come up with the ME50B. Its comprehensive bass multi effects pedal full of lovely bass tones and weird and wonderful sounds! Simple and easy to use well made and sounds great!!
