Squier are the sister company to Fender - who first invented the Precision bass and are licensed to make exact yet affordable copies of the original Fender model. So what you're getting here is a really good bass, made by a credible manufacturer - in most cases the difference between Fender original models and Squier copies are the electronics and occasionally on the higher end models some of the raw materials.
