Traben Array Attack Bass Guitar Black Burl
The Traben Array Attack four string bass guitar is made from a lightweight yet robust Paulownia body with a Burled Maple front, finished in a satin black wash. The body shape is typical Traben with dropped upper and lower horns, but the dominating feature is the spectacular chrome bridge that the maker describes as Tribal Flame. The angular features are continued in the pointed headstock which sports Grover Y-shaped chromed machine heads. The five piece neck is predominantly Maple and has a Rosewood fretboard with elegant pearl inlays that complement the fancy bridge ironmongery nicely.

Despite the entry level price, the Traben Array Attack is a very well specified instrument. The beautiful black satin finish mixed with the flash of chrome (even the brass nut is chromed) blend brilliantly to give an inexplicably cheap yet sturdy bass guitar. The electrics provide unrivalled control, and the striking looks and excellent playability form a truly compelling package.
Reviews
Traben continue their march into the world of low price, high quality bass guitars with the Traben Array Attack 4. This guitar has the chunkiest, most businesslike pickups I’ve ever seen on a guitar and the incredible chrome bridge is likely to be one of those things you either love or hate ... personally, I love it. With no fewer than eleven screws holding it in place, it’s no wonder the Array Attack has such a solid feel and brilliant sustain.
There is a full double scale of 24 frets available, all easily accessible due to the large lower cutaway. The generous three band active EQ gives fantastic response, the slightest alteration of any control giving a noticeable change in sound. This delivers a range of tones from the deepest bass growl to the harshest piercing treble, and all points in between. It may take a while to adapt to the angled pickup as your anchoring thumb may slip off if you play using your fingers, but with a little practice this is easily overcome.
The Traben Array Attack ticks all the boxes that your average rock or metal bassist could ask for, yet the tremendous range in sound does not rule this guitar out for use in any style of music. Even if you don’t possess a Spandex catsuit or leather wrist bands, this may well be the bass for you, give it a try today at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
