Product Information
This instrument harks back to the birth of Funk, with a soft Maple natural wood finish that's particularly attractive despite the over-sized large body of the bass and Herculean neck. The 20 fret bolt-on neck has a maple fretboard and sports 70?s style open gear tuners with Shamrock shaped keys.
The single coil pick ups located in the middle of the body and down by the bridge have been designed by world-famous pickup designers Seymour Duncan for maximum tonal fatness, and are JB101?s with Alnico 5 magnets. These are managed by two volume controls (one for each pick-up) and a single master tone control. Adjacent to the control knobs is the front mounted jack socket, and all three sit on a chrome base plate.
The bridge and machine heads are also chrome plated, whilst the scratch plate and rectangular fret markers on the Maple neck are in black plastic. With groovy block inlays and sweet old-school styling, the 70's Vintage Modified is an awesome bass for anyone with a fondness for retro designs.
