Product Information

Rickenbacker 4003 Bass Guitar - Mapleglo, Rosewood fretboard

The fore-runner to the Rickenbacker 4003 was the 4001 which some of you may recall was the bass instrument of choice for Paul McCartney during the period when he fronted his band Wings in the 1970's. The Rickenbacker 4003 - shown here in a stunning Mapleglow finish, is similar in design to the 4001 but uses the latest genration of pick-ups, electronic components and manufacturing processes ...

Rickenbacker basses are famous for top-end click balanced with a deep bass growl and almost no mid-range tones - almost the exact opposite of Fender basses. The 4003 doesn't dissapoint either, with a punchy top end snap, and solid, smooth bottom end whilst it's equally famous for its distinctive, elegantly curved body shape, accentuated by a delicate strip of binding, deluxe triangular fret inlays, stereo output, and neck-thru-body construction.

The Rickenbacker 4003 deploys double truss rods, and high-output single-coil pickups with wide response range and pristine clarity. This Mapleglow version of the classic Rickenbacker bass includes a standard case. The Vintage Tone Selector activates a capacitor in the treble pickup circuit to emphasise the high end. Press it in, and you get the familiar 4003 sound, pull it out and it adds bite and crispness. Check out this fabulous bass instrument now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...
