The Rickenbacker 4003 bass is famous for its resonant sustain, a punchy top end snap, and solid, smooth bottom end. It's also equally famous for its distinctive, elegantly curved body shape, accentuated by a delicate strip of binding, deluxe triangular fret inlays, stereo output, and neck-thru-body construction.
The 4003 deploys double truss rods, and high-output single-coil pickups with wide response range and pristine clarity whilst this classic Rickenbacker bass includes a standard case. The Vintage Tone Selector activates a capacitor in the treble pickup circuit to emphasise the high end. Press it in, and you get the familiar 4003 sound, pull it out and it adds bite and crispness.
