Peavey MAX126 Combo bass amplifier
The MAX 126 is the most compact and affordable bass amp from Peavey. But don?t be fooled, it still offers many of the features you?ll find on the bigger, more expensive amps, such as Peavey's exclusive TransTube (tube modeling) circuitry. With 10 watts of power and a Peavey 6 1/2 inch speaker, this makes the perfect bedroom amp.
Tube Emulation Circuitry & EQ
The MAX 126 includes a selectable Vintage gain control that allows you to change the tone from modern sounding to vintage. Combine this with High and Low EQ controls and the result is a much more flexible practice amp than most of its competitors.

This amp is undoubtedly aimed at the bedroom practice musician, the tube emulation will add a little warmth to the overall sound and the high & low EQ provides differing tonal options. The CD input is a neat addition for rehearsing along with your favourite tracks but this amp is manufactured to a budget and therefore the controls are kept simple.
However this is still a perfectly good practice amp for someone learning the bass guitar.
