Another product from Marshall that’s designed to compliment their new MB bass amp range, the Marshall MBC115 is a bass reflex speaker enclosure that utilises a single 15” speaker along with a switch-able HF (High Frequency) horn to retain top end clarity and punch. 

The Marshall MBC115 is rated at 300 watts RMS into 4 Ohms and has both a ¼” jack and Speakon input on the rear of the cabinet. This extension cabinet can be used with the MB450H amp head as well as the range of MB bass combos and is finished in the usual Marshall black textured vinyl with a black cloth speaker grill. At the base of the cabinet are two front facing bass ports whilst the white Marshall plastic logo mounted in the centre of the speaker grille completes the cosmetic appearance.

The Marshall MBC115 is a very musical bass cabinet – by that I mean that the combination of the 15” speaker and the HF horn provide a good range of tonal options  – particularly if used with a decent amplifier such as the Marshall MB range. At 300 watts it certainly kicks out quite a noise too and will be suitable for all but the largest venues …

 

If you’re into the classic Marshall warm valve sound then this is an ideal companion to use with Marshall Bass amps – having been designed to compliment the voicing and response of the Marshall amplifier range.
