Ashdown MAG 300H EVO II Bass Head Amplifier
In 2007 Ashdown Engineering celebrates their 10th anniversary since the company was formed by ex Trace Elliott employee Mark Gooday in 1997. Since then Ashdown?s reputation as a manufacturer of classic bass amplifiers has grown steadily to the point where they now have an impressive list of endorsees.
The Ashdown Mag 300H EVO II could be considered to part of Ashdown?s entry level range and is very reasonably priced. This particular model is aimed at the semi-pro player whose tone requirement is perhaps not as critical as the pro-session player, nevertheless there?s plenty of scope for creating depth, punch and a crisp top end here. The tone circuitry provides up to 15db cut or boost which helps to nail your favourite live sound set-up, additionally there are boost controls for extra depth and brightness.
Included within the range of features of the Ashdown MAG 300H is the trademark Ashdown sub-harmonic generator and the amp has line inputs for both active and passive instruments. The front panel also features an effects send and return, a tuner/line output and a balanced DI output for direct connection to a mixing console. Reviews
The Ashdown Mag 300H is great value for money, the 300 watt output is big enough for most club and pub venues and the tonal range on offer here will satisfy even the most pedantic ears. All controls are clearly laid out and the operation of them is entirely logical due to the retro-style rotary control knobs. If you’re a busy jobbing bass- player wanting a classic bass sound for not a whole lot of money – check out the Ashdown Mag 300H bass head amplifier now at the Nevada Music Warehouse.
