Zoom HD16CD Digital Multitrack Recorder
Multi Track recording has never been easier than with the Zoom HD16CD, featuring all the tools you need not only to record at a home studio but live as well. The HD16CD has 8 combination ¼” jack and XLR inputs whish can be used either one at a time or up to all 8 simultaneously, meaning you could easily produce a live recording of your band or simply mic up an entire drum kit and record it to individual tracks. You are also given all the usual tools you would find on a large professional studio desk including Pan, 3 band EQ, Solo and Mute, volume faders, Punch in/out functions, Locate functions and Input Gain to name but a few. The whole unit has been laid out in the style of the expensive mixers you see in professional studio’s with graphic equalizers for each channel.
But it doesn’t end there, the HD16CD also has a built in drum and bass rhythm machine which allows you to create backing tracks with 529 drum sound sources, 21 pre assembled drum kits each with 27 sounds each. There are preset drum patterns to play around with or you can construct your own completely original patterns, for both the drums and the bass, Eleven bass sound sources including electric bass, acoustic bass, and synthesizer bass are also built in.
There is also a built in effects unit with which you have access to guitar effects, bass effects, line effects, mastering effects. There are also 18 different guitar amplifier modeling effects including Marshall, Vox and Fender, and 6 different bass amplifier settings including Ampeg, Bassman and Hartke. All of these features bundled together gives you a great recording studio for your home. The whole unit can also be connected to a Pc via the USB connection which allows you to download the wav files into the Cubase LE program which is provided with the unit. There is also a built in CD burner with which you can put your creations to CD for backup or for those albums which you will create.
