Line 6 Pod Studio GX USB Interface & POD Farm Software
Line 6’s studio series has rapidly become a big name in home studio recording, and with the success of the UX1 and UX2 models Line 6 have now produced the Pod Studio GX. Designed with the musician on the go in mind the GX is small and highly portable, simply by plugging into your laptop via USB your away with all of Line 6’s tones and effects at your fingertips. The GX features just one input and level control which cover guitar/bass/vocals. Due to only a single input this unit is tiny and will easily fit in your gig bag or even to be honest, in your pocket. The Pod Studio GX is fully USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatible and features up to 24-bit/96 kHz recording with a very low signal to noise ratio when recording guitar (12dB more dynamic range than similar interfaces). Bundled with the Studio GX are copies of Ableton's Live Lite and Line 6 RiffWorks recording software to get you started, but the GX will work with any of the popular recording software such as Garageband, Logic or Cubase.
Pod Farm
POD Farm is Line 6's RTAS/AU/VST plug-in software, delivering POD tone and amp modelling on your PC or MAC. Vastly improved from the previous Gear Box software, Pod Farm features 18 guitar amp models based on all the classics such as the Fender Deluxe Reverb, Marshall JCM800 and Vox AC30. You also get 5 bass amps, 29 guitar and bass cabinets and 29 stompboxes, also modelled on famous pedals such as the Ibanez Tubescreamer and MXR Phase 90.
Pod Farm allows you to completely customise your signal flow, pre or post amplifier allowing guitarists to design and play through their dream amp and pedal setup. Every element of the amps are fully adjustable, just like the real thing, allowing you to tweak your tone to perfection...or if you can't be bothered to make your own sound, just choose from over a thousand presets that Pod Farm offers!
